THEMANET is the master directory on combating desertification devoted to improve information and communication flow between and within the scientific and policy community of UNCCD.
For this purpose the scientist of all disciplines nominated by the Parties in the Roster of Independent Experts have the opportunity to present their views and results on key topics intended to represent the uniqueness of the UNCCD process.
The access to the documents made available on THEMANET is open to all UNCCD stakeholders but at this stage only the Experts included in the Roster of Indipendent Experts are allowed to give their contribution.
The documents available in THEMANET are:

1. Bibliography and abstracts of papers already published on referred journals;
2. Full text of papers and documents free of copyright or authorized by publishers;
3. Geographic information ( data and metadata).
